The teacher and the parents may want to help shape the crust into the pan.
The children can help with placing the ingredients into measuring cups or spoons, mixing the ingredients together, and rolling out the crust. You or the parents can peel and core the apples. From my experience, though, even children are able to cut apples with plastic knives. You and the parents can help set up by having all the ingredients and necessary tools on the table. I recommend having several parents help the children with cutting apples and measuring the ingredients. I suggest making a list of ingredients and other supplies and assign each child to bring an ingredient or supply to school if you choose to prepare the list, send it to the parents at least a week in advance. After they type the letter, they can draw the picture of the ingredient in any form on Kid Pix, Tux Paint, or any other computer illustration tool. Once again, remind them of the five parts of the letter. The children can then type the interesting facts about the ingredient into the letter to the girl. 42Explore's Egg Page: This page contains many links to websites about eggs, including Golden Eggs that includes many fun activities about eggs.MooMilk: In this website, users can learn facts about milk through a virtual tour, games, and recipes.Fast Facts - National Association of Wheat Growers: This page contain many fascinating facts about wheat, including little-known facts about the history of wheat.Salt Sense - Fun Zone: This website contains many fun facts about salt as well as recipes using salt.Cinnamon - History for Kids: This page tells the fascinating history of cinnamon and where cinnamon is grown.
